What To Expect

We have one worship service at 9:30 AM.   Come as you are!  Some people wear jeans, casual or dress attire.  Each service includes:

  • Relevant preaching from God’s Word
  • Scripture
  • Songs of praise, hymns of faith and ministries of music
  • Prayer
  • Children’s Church  (currently suspended)
  • Opportunity to give tithes and offerings
  • Missions updates (monthly)

In worship we meet with the Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. As we enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise, we are blessed in return. In worship, God is glorified and His people are edified.

The approach to the Word, the preaching of the Word and the response to the Word help to create a worship flow that prepares our hearts and minds to meet with God, to praise Him with our hearts, minds, souls and strength and to allow His Spirit to change us and mold us so that we can go back out into the world as a “city on the hill” as witnesses to His saving grace and mercy.

We follow a service order that varies each Sunday depending on the theme, but the constants are:  the centrality of the Truth of God’s Word expounded through preaching and song, prayer including thanksgiving and petitions, and worship that is God-honoring and Spirit led in all its dimensions – gravity to gladness, sorrow to joy, repentance to forgiveness, death to life.

We observe two sacraments: baptism of infants or those who have never been baptized as a sign and seal of our membership in God’s family, and communion as a remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death and a foretaste of the feast to come when He returns.

We are blessed in our music ministry to have a praise team that leads most worship services.  Other ministries of music are offered throughout the year. Our music is blended in style, embracing the foundational hymns of the faith and the contemporary praise songs, all of which are rich in heart-felt expressions to God.

Children preschool through second grade are welcome to stay with their families during the service, or participate in Children’s Church (held September through April) during the sermon.
