Roger Bloemers

Roger is a “husband of but one wife.” He is “not given to much wine.” Roger is a trumpet player and photographer. He is a lover of God’s Word. Roger is the father of three children and grandfather to six. He loves to laugh.

Joel DeKoning

Joel and his wife Donna moved to Wausau from Michigan in 1975. They have served at New Hope for 45+ years. Joel has been an elder on and off during all those years. Most recently, he helped the other elders lead the church from the Reformed Church in America (RCA) to the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). In his spare time, he enjoys watching and participating in sports and interacting with his nine grandchildren.

Kelvin Fraaza

Kel grew up in the Wausau community and is married to Barb, New Hope’s Christian Education Director. Kel has a heart for serving the flock and enjoys using his God given gifts and abilities. Outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting and camping with his family are an important part of his free time.

Dave Harrison

Dave and his wife, Pat, have two adult daughters and he is a former English teacher and retired pastor. He enjoys gardening, biking, reading, snowshoeing, fishing, camping, and watching Packer and Badger games. Dave has a passion to see people grow in discipleship through the knowledge of God’s Word. He's excited to see New Hope grow and make a difference in the community.

Bob Petts

Bob and his wife, Liz, have three adult children and three grandchildren. Bob is retired from the Federal Government and he and Liz run two small businesses - he's an auctioneer and also operates a coin and hobby store. Bob has served as a Sunday School teacher for adults, youth and children, as well as church treasurer. He enjoys chess, fishing and travel.
