In accord with our value to be a multi-generational church, we endeavor to support Christian parents in their family discipleship efforts by faithfully teaching our children who Jesus is and what He has done for them. In accord with our value to reflect a grace-filled culture, we want our children understand their need of God and His grace in every area of their lives. We recognize the goal of Christian parenting involves our children knowing Christ personally, discerning His call on their lives, and learning to love the things He loves, not merely being “good kids” or aiming for “success” on worldly terms.
Sunday School
Children’s Sunday School begins following our fellowship time at 11:15 a.m and lasts until noon (from September through May). This ministry is a resource to support parents in the biblical goal to raise our kids in the “nurture and admonition of the Lord (Eph. 6:4).” We use the DWELL curriculum, which invites kids to live into God’s story of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration. And it encourages kids to live out of God’s story every day as they respond to God’s call. Each DWELL session provides fun, interactive ways for leaders and kids to learn and explore as together they find their place in God’s Big Story.
Wednesday Evenings
SPARK (3-year-olds through 4th grade, October through May)
Our purpose on Wednesday evenings is to introduce children to Jesus Christ and the life-changing good news of his grace through Bible exploration, games, songs, and fun group activities. To find out more about our midweek ministry to children, please contact Maria Doepke, Coordinator of Education and Worship.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
We host an annual Vacation Bible School in July for 4 year-olds through 8th graders. We have a blast together, learning about Jesus, and meeting and serving new families with the love and joy of Christ!
